Common questions

Why an intake form instead of just booking a slot?+

So Annabel can prep for the call and make sure it’s a genuinely useful use of your time. If it turns out you just need a quick answer — not a full call — she’ll email you directly instead. Either way you’re not stuck in a 20-minute slot that didn’t need to be one.

What will we actually talk about on the call?+

Your business, your current setup, what’s working and what isn’t. Annabel will already have your intake in front of her, so the call skips straight to the useful bit — her view of what she’d suggest. There’s no agenda beyond that.

What if I’m behind on things or a bit of a mess?+

That’s genuinely one of the most common reasons people submit this form. Backlog, late filings, an HMRC letter, a previous accountant who dropped the ball — Annabel has seen all of it and won’t make you feel bad about it. Be honest in the intake; that’s what it’s for.

Do I have to commit to anything after the call?+

No. The call is free and there’s no obligation. If it feels like a good fit, Annabel will outline how working together would work. If it’s not right, she’ll say so and point you in the right direction. There’s no chasing afterwards.

Does it matter what stage my business is at?+

Not at all. Annabel works with founders who are just starting out, businesses growing fast and wondering where their margin went, and people who’ve been let down and need things sorted out. The call is useful wherever you are.

I’ve had a bad experience with an accountant before. How is this different?+

The biggest complaints Annabel hears: “I never heard from them”, “I didn’t understand what they’d filed”, “I only found out about a problem when the fine arrived.” At NLBI, you get numbers 5 days before every month-end, you speak to Annabel directly, and you always know what’s been filed and why.
