Still not sure what your corporation tax bill will be?
Most limited company directors only think about corporation tax when the accountant sends a figure and a deadline. By that point, there is nothing to be done about it. The bill is what it is, the deadline is imminent, and any planning opportunity has passed. It does not have to work that way.
- Tax bill arrives with weeks to spare — and no explanation of how it was calculated
- Allowable expenses and available reliefs never properly reviewed at year-end
- CT600 filed late, or close to the wire, because records were not ready in time
What a properly handled year-end looks like
Statutory accounts prepared, corporation tax computed and CT600 filed — on time, every time. Tax is planned throughout the year so you know your liability well before the deadline, not the day it arrives.
- Tax liability explained clearly, with the calculation behind it, months before payment is due
- Allowable expenses and relevant reliefs reviewed as standard every year — not as an afterthought
- CT600 filed on time because the records are current and the process starts early
- Fixed fee scoped to your business — no invoice surprises at year-end either
What limited company clients say
Three verified Google reviews, all five stars. Here are the two most relevant to what a corporation tax client typically needs.
I switched accountants to work with Annabel because I felt she truly cared about helping businesses to take control of their finances. She opened my eyes to how an accountant actually should work with you! She has fixed so many lazy, unprofessional mistakes by my old accountant by being so meticulously thorough, offering amazing business advice & has saved me thousands! She even went through my dad’s accounts who had been through liquidation & had a really tough time just because she cared & wanted to see if she could help. I 100% trust Annabel & she proves time & time again why it was the best move for my business to switch to her. I highly recommend her to anyone who is looking for someone who genuinely cares, who is meticulously thorough & offers great advice!
I have recently had the pleasure of the wonderful service of Annabel, appointed as my bookkeeper and accountant. Having never been self employed or a limited company before, the support and advice I have had has been extremely helpful and has set my mind at ease knowing that any problems or queries I have will be handled or answered. Friendly, supportive and very quick to respond to any queries or sort advice. I would 100% recommend.
Everything the corporation tax job needs
Year-end accounts, corporation tax computation and CT600 filing handled together — with tax planned throughout the year so nothing comes as a surprise.
Year-End Accounts and CT600
Statutory accounts prepared to Companies House standard and corporation tax computed accurately. The CT600 is filed with HMRC on time — confirmation comes to you, not chased by you. Allowable deductions and any applicable reliefs are reviewed as a matter of course, not on request.
Included as standardTax Planning Throughout the Year
Knowing your tax position only at year-end means every planning opportunity has already closed. Your liability is monitored as the year progresses so you can make informed decisions — on salary, dividends, timing of expenditure — before it is too late to matter.
Commercial advice includedPlain English Tax Summary
The computation is explained in language that makes sense, not left as a spreadsheet for you to decipher. You will know what you owe, why, when it is due, and what — if anything — can be done differently next year. No jargon, no overwhelming attachments.
No accounting degree requiredConsistent across every type of client
From new limited company founders to established businesses switching from an accountant who let them down — the feedback covers the same ground: thorough, plain English, and genuinely useful.

What makes this different from the accountant you have now
Filing the CT600 is the minimum. These are the reasons the work is worth doing properly.
Tax Planned, Not Just Filed
Most accountants prepare your corporation tax once the year is closed and the numbers are fixed. By then, every decision that could have reduced the bill has already been made. Annabel’s work includes monitoring your tax position during the year so the planning conversations happen while they can still change something.
16 Years Inside Real Businesses
Annabel has worked at a strategic and operational level inside real businesses — not just processed their records from a distance. That means the corporation tax conversation includes the commercial context: salary versus dividend, timing of capital expenditure, how this year’s position affects next year. It is not just compliance advice.
AAT Licensed and Award-Winning
South England Prestige Awards Winner 2025/26, Visionary Woman Founder to Watch 2026, and a fully qualified, insured and regulated AAT Licensed Accountant (licence no. 1008354). Every engagement is handled by Annabel personally — there is no team of juniors processing your accounts.
Up and running in three steps
The admin burden sits with us from the moment you make contact. Most clients are fully onboarded within a week.
Free discovery call
A free, no-obligation 20-30 minute call. Annabel asks about your business, your current setup and what is keeping you up at night — no scripts, no pitch deck. You get honest advice whether you become a client or not.
A proposal built for you
A proposal built around your specific situation — not a template tier. Scoped to what your business actually needs, with a clear fee and no surprises. If corporation tax is the starting point, the proposal reflects exactly that.
We handle the handover
We take the admin off your plate — a smooth transition from your current setup or previous accountant, handled entirely by us, so your books are running properly from day one. If there is a backlog or missing records, that is handled too.
Your tax position, visible
Your corporation tax is filed on time, your liability is no longer a mystery, and you know your position throughout the year. Which is, frankly, the way it should have been all along.
“Working with Annabel has been fantastic. She has made the whole process of changing accountants so smooth and stress-free. Her step-by-step guidance and clear communication made everything easy to follow, even for someone who does not naturally “speak accounts.” Annabel’s energy, passion, and genuine desire to help people understand their business finances really shine through in everything she does. Her support and knowledge have been superb, and I now see her as a vital part of my business and its continued growth. Thank you, Annabel, for all your help; you truly live up to your company name!”
What people usually ask before getting started
What exactly is included in the corporation tax return service?
Statutory year-end accounts are prepared alongside the corporation tax computation, and the CT600 is filed with HMRC. Allowable expenses and relevant reliefs are reviewed as a matter of course. You receive a plain English summary of what you owe, why, and when payment is due — not just a filing confirmation.
How much does it cost?
Fees are scoped to each client’s specific situation following the free discovery call — there are no published tiers because the right scope varies depending on the size and complexity of the business. The fee is agreed before any work starts, and there are no surprises at year-end. To get a clear figure, the 20-minute discovery call is the right starting point.
My records are in a bit of a state — can you still help?
That is a common starting point, not a disqualifying one. If there is a backlog or records need to be brought up to date before the accounts can be prepared, that is scoped and costed separately so you know exactly what the catch-up work involves. Many clients arrive with books that need some attention — it is handled as part of the onboarding process.
Is there a long-term contract?
No. There is no long-term lock-in. If the arrangement is not working after three months, you leave with filed, complete records and nothing outstanding. The work is done on the basis that it continues to make sense for both sides — not because a contract makes it difficult to leave.
What is the deadline for paying corporation tax, and how much notice will I get?
For most small companies, corporation tax is due nine months and one day after the end of the accounting period, and the CT600 must be filed within twelve months. Your liability is identified well before the payment deadline so there is time to plan for it — you will not be told what you owe a fortnight before it is due.
Can I reduce my corporation tax bill through salary and dividend planning?
The salary and dividend split is one of the most straightforward ways a limited company director can manage their overall tax position, and it is reviewed as part of the year-round planning conversation — not treated as a separate billable topic. The right split depends on your personal circumstances, the business profit level and the current rates, all of which are considered together.
