Cash in the bank is the only number you trust?
Revenue is growing, but you still make the big calls on gut feel and whatever the bank balance says today. A new hire, a supplier order, a quiet January, any of these could tighten things, and you would not see it coming until it did. The problem is not the money. It is the lack of a forward view.
- No idea whether next quarter can carry a new salary
- Big invoices land late and squeeze the month with no warning
- Pricing and investment decisions made on instinct, not evidence
What a forecast actually gives you
A rolling forecast turns the bank balance into a forward view. You see the tight weeks before they arrive, and you make the next decision knowing what it does to cash. Reviewed with you monthly, so it stays honest.
- Know months ahead whether the business can afford a hire
- See late-paying weeks coming, with room to act before they bite
- Price changes and investments modelled against real cash impact
- Fees scoped to your situation and fixed, with no surprise line items
What owners say about the advice
The forecast is only useful if it changes what you do. These are owners who used the numbers to make better calls.
I switched accountants to work with Annabel because I felt she truly cared about helping businesses to take control of their finances. She opened my eyes to how an accountant actually should work with you! She has fixed so many lazy, unprofessional mistakes by my old accountant by being so meticulously thorough, offering amazing business advice & has saved me thousands! She even went through my dad’s accounts who had been through liquidation & had a really tough time just because she cared & wanted to see if she could help. I 100% trust Annabel & she proves time & time again why it was the best move for my business to switch to her. I highly recommend her to anyone who is looking for someone who genuinely cares, who is meticulously thorough & offers great advice!
Working with Annabel has been fantastic. She has made the whole process of changing accountants so smooth and stress-free. Her step-by-step guidance and clear communication made everything easy to follow, even for someone who does not naturally “speak accounts.” Annabel’s energy, passion, and genuine desire to help people understand their business finances really shine through in everything she does. Her support and knowledge have been superb, and I now see her as a vital part of my business and its continued growth. Thank you, Annabel, for all your help; you truly live up to your company name!
What the forecast covers
Two views of the same business, built in Xero and reviewed with you each month, so the numbers stay live rather than sitting in a spreadsheet nobody opens.
A Rolling 13-Week Cash View
See exactly what is coming in and out over the next quarter, week by week. When wages, VAT and a slow-paying client all fall in the same fortnight, you know in advance and can plan around it. This is the short-range view that keeps you off the edge.
Built in XeroA 12-Month Forward Plan
A longer view to test the bigger decisions against. Model a new hire, a price increase, a piece of kit or a marketing push, and see what each does to cash over the year. You commit knowing the number, not hoping it works out.
Updated as you goA Monthly Review With Annabel
The forecast is walked through with you every month, in plain English. Annabel spent 16 years inside growing businesses as a Finance Director, so the conversation is about what the numbers mean and what to do next. Not a report you file and forget.
FD-level inputOwners who now know their numbers
From salons to first-time limited companies, these are owners who wanted more than tidy books. They wanted to understand where the business was heading.

A forecast built by someone who has used one
Anyone can drop a template into Xero. The value is in what happens when the numbers get read.
FD Experience, Not Just Software
Annabel spent 16 years inside growing businesses, including as a Finance Director, building the forecasts the board made decisions on. You get that same commercial read, not a spreadsheet handed over without comment. The conversation is about what to do next.
Reviewed Every Month, Not Once a Year
A forecast built once and left alone is out of date within weeks. Yours is reviewed with you monthly, updated as things change, and kept honest. Alongside management accounts within five working days of month close, you always know where you stand.
Answers You Can Actually Act On
No 40-tab model you cannot read. The forecast is explained in plain English, focused on the two or three decisions that matter this quarter. You leave each review knowing whether the next move is affordable, and when.
Up and running in four steps
Starting is straightforward. Most of the work is on our side, not yours, so you can get on with running the business.
Book a Free Discovery Call
A free 20 to 30 minute call with Annabel about where the business is heading and the decisions on the horizon. No script, no pitch deck. You get honest advice whether you become a client or not.
A Fixed-Fee Proposal
A proposal scoped to your situation, not a template tier, with a clear fixed fee agreed up front. You know what it costs before anything starts. No surprise line items later.
We Build It in Xero
We set the forecast up inside your Xero, drawing on your actuals so it reflects the real business. If your books need tidying first, we handle that. You do very little beyond answering a few questions.
You Make Decisions on Evidence
Each month you sit down to a forecast that tells you what is coming, and a plain-English read on what to do about it. Hiring, pricing and investment stop being gut calls. You lead the business instead of chasing it.
“Friendly, supportive and very quick to respond to any queries or sort advice. I would 100% recommend.”
Questions owners tend to ask
What is the difference between a 13-week and a 12-month forecast?
The 13-week view is your short-range cash map, week by week, so you can see tight patches coming and plan around wages, VAT and slow payers. The 12-month view is for the bigger decisions: hiring, pricing, investment. You get both, and they are read together each month so nothing falls between them.
What does a cash flow forecast cost?
There is no published price, because the right fee depends on your business and how much forecasting you need. It is scoped on a free discovery call and then fixed, so you know the number before anything starts. No hourly billing, no surprise line items.
My books are behind. Can you still build a forecast?
A forecast is only as good as the actuals underneath it, so if the books need tidying first, that is handled as part of getting set up. It is common to arrive with things in some state of disarray. We sort the foundation, then build the forecast on top of it.
Am I tied into a long contract?
No. There is an initial three-month settling-in period so we both know it is a good fit, after which either side can walk away with clean books and nothing outstanding. The forecast is worth keeping because it is useful, not because a contract locks you in.
Do I need to be near Bournemouth to work with you?
No. The forecast lives in Xero, so the whole thing runs remotely by video and phone. We are based in Bournemouth and work with clients across Dorset, Hampshire and the wider UK, and location makes no difference to the service.
Does the forecast help with tax and VAT planning too?
Yes. Because the forward view includes VAT payments and Corporation Tax as they fall due, you see those liabilities coming rather than being caught out by them. It means a quarterly VAT bill or a tax payment is planned for, not a nasty surprise on the day.
