What is the difference between this and a part-time Finance Director?
There is no real difference in the work, only in how it is delivered. A virtual Finance Director does the same job, financial leadership and a standing monthly review, but entirely remotely via Xero, video and phone. That means you can be anywhere in the UK and still have someone genuinely across your numbers.
What does it cost and what is included?
There is no published price list because the right day allocation depends on your business. Fees are scoped to your situation on the free discovery call, then fixed as a monthly fee agreed up front. You will know exactly what you are getting, and how much time each month, before you commit.
Our management information is a mess. Can you still help?
Yes, and it is more common than you might think. We will get you onto Xero and clean up what needs cleaning up so the monthly review is built on figures you can trust. Any catch-up work is scoped and quoted separately so there are no surprises.
Am I locked into a long contract?
No. There is an initial three-month settling-in period so we can get things running properly, after which either side can walk away. If it is not working, you leave with clean books and nothing outstanding.
How often will I actually speak to you?
You get a standing monthly review as part of the fixed day allocation, plus your management accounts within five working days of month close. Between reviews, you can reach Annabel directly and get a reply within one working day. Every enquiry is reviewed by Annabel personally.
Can you help me plan around tax and cash flow, not just report on it?
Yes. The point of FD-level input is to look ahead, not just backwards. That includes cash flow forecasting, margin and pricing decisions, and planning tax through the year rather than finding out the bill at year-end.
